Depends on your idea of a bunch. Seriously though, it will quicken steering. The downside of a lower sidewall tire is, the possibility of bending the rim on potholes or even steel expansion joints on overpasses, if leaned over in a turn. Ask me how I know.
My wife's 620 Monster has a 120/60 on the front, but her bike is much lighter and easier on tires that our ST bikes are. She has had none of the experiences I had with it, but I also ride a bit more spiritedly than she does. I bent the rim of a 750ss, which was a much lighter bike also.
For racing or track riding on tighter, more technical courses the 60 profile works well. I just don't care for them on the street on my bikes.
The front tire on my '05 ST4S is a 120/70RZ17 Michelin Pilot Rd2. If I change to the same tire in a 120/60RZ17, is it going to effect the handling a bunch?
