They don't 'salt' the roads here in the Pacific Northwest, but my 2010 MTS 1200s Touring is 17 months old now with 17,600 miles. No problems with the paint. Currently covered in road crap from the rain and snow I've ridden through in the last 10 days, but I have no issues with the fit and finish of my MTS. :-)
