Not used one on a bike but I have a 300W one I use in the car for the kids
Nintendo chargers etc. and my laptop if out for an extended trip. Works
fine. You can get smaller ones that shouldn't stress a bike charging system
too much. Not sure about efficiency so you would need to check both output
and consumption.
