Re: [DucatiST] Fairing fitment question

So, as a follow up, I finally did what I should have originally and compared part numbers -

for the (2007) ST3S-ABS we have:
    480.1.058.1B        L.H. upper half-fairing (unpainted)

    480.1.061.1A        R.H. lower half-fairing (unpainted)

for the (2001) ST2 we have:

    480.1.058.0A        L.H. upper half-fairing (unpainted)

    480.1.060.0A        R.H. upper half-fairing (unpainted)

Apparently they are different, at least enough to warrant different part numbers. Has anyone tried to fit them onto the older bikes?

Alternately, could I convince anyone with a ST3 in the Boston area to swing by some weekend/evening to see if they'll fit before I spend money I "shouldn't" on parts that may not work?

Hey Mark, use it anyway, when someone ask you about your oil cooler tell them it's a Phantom oil cooler...

Except for the triangle shaped piece below the radiator. The 4 has an oil cooler where the 2 has not.

The ones they're offering are pairings of lower and middle [I'll be getting the upper from someone else]

Does anyone know if the middle fairings are the same across the ST2 and the ST3?

The lower fairings are the same, not certain about the middle pieces – I think they are different  but the top fairing is totally different between the ST2 and the ST3/ST3s.

So, one of the things I've been meaning to do since I bought my lovely '99 ST2 is replace the plastics that the PO trashed.

There's a vendor on eBay that has NOS plastics for the ST3S-ABS, will these fit my bike? I'm assuming no, but praying that I'm wrong.
