My Honda XR650L has spent more time being dead due to electrical problems than any other bike that I've owned. I think the only reliability issue I've ever had with a Ducati was when I broke one of the chain adjusters on the ST2 and had to clean up a bit of damage to the swingarm. The Honda had to have a new CDI unit as well as a new Pulse Generator that senses when to cause a spark. I finally gave up and took it to a shop to get it diagnosed properly.
