Having spent last night having dinner with Paolo (and NSW DOC) here in Sydney (Oz) I would advise any who are able to participate.

He's a great Ducatisti who's life is literally riding his beloved Lidia (Multi 1200). "It's not my passion It's my life" and he really means it....full time.

Lots of great stories from a fantastic character.

PS. The big question for many here was answered. Sounds like the multi is more than capable on dirt roads.

Paolo has done many thousands of kilometers on Lidia "where there were no roads!" His advise for dirt was to keep it at or above 180km/h

so that it will skip over the bumps.

For those of you that haven't seen this, Paola Pirozzi is riding his Multi 1200 around the world visiting 80 Ducati Owners Clubs.

If you are in the PNW and want to meet and ride with him, the schedule is as follows:
Friday October 29th - Leave Vancouver, BC around 9 AM.
Meet escort group (Desmo NW, etc.) at the Peace Arch @ 10:30 and ride to Ducati Seattle (oil change, meet & greet, etc).
Plan to leave Seattle with escort from Ducati Pacifica (Vancouver/Portland DOC) to arrive Portland late afternoon.
Around the World Party hosted at MotoCorsa Friday night. "The celebration will be held at MotoCorsa starting at 7 p.m. and we ask that all guests come dressed from "around the world." We'd love for you to come celebrate his great adventure and the great Ducati community that makes things like this possible."
Ducati Pacifica will be hosting a ride Saturday up the Gorge/Hood River.

If anyone from the list is interested in a little road trip, I'm in the Portland area and have a couple of spare bedrooms and garage space available. Ping me off list for details.
