Honestly Reed these things are a pain to get all the air out, if you make the mistake of introducing it, get about a litre of fluid and try everything you know including removing both master and slave and holding at all sorts of angles.
When you have done this and got nowhere then get plenty of rags on your baby and crack the banjo bolt at the master cylinder (which will be at the highest point), after a few pumps you have lever , then when youre ready, purchase a set of proper bleeders to replace those banjo bolts.
I change my fluid annually at least, just draw out the reservior with a syringe,top up and bleed thru several times to be sure.
