[ukfratboiz] Jeffers heads down under

 

Former England international Francis Jeffers has gone Down Under in a bid to revive his flagging career online football game.

Jeffers has signed a 10-week deal with Australian A-League side Newcastle Jets, and will now look to get back among the goals.

The 29-year-old striker was one of the hottest properties in England after scoring 20 goals in 60 games as a teenager for Everton.

He scored on his only international appearance – against Australia in 2003 – but his career went downhill after an £8million move to Arsenal and a series of unsuccessful moves led to him being released by Sheffield Wednesday at the end of last season.
