| Sounds like you had a great return to riding! Glad your back out and at it! I was hit the same way,but with no injuries in 1979. Girl turning left just drove right in to me. I was stupid then, I saw her coming and thought, "I hope she stops". Never occurred to me she'd drive right into me. She told the cop, there was a sign hanging there with a left turn arrow. In rate, I was slammed into the bars and the whiplash catapulted me off into the street where I landed on my feet. Nary a scratch and no gear save a helmet. Honda 750 engine case saved my foot. A fellow who witnessed it jumped out of his car on crutches and hobbled over. He'd been hit the week prior on his Harley and had a broken leg. He scored my dismount a 10. At any rate, it taught me I'm a toothpick when hit by a car. Never assume a car driver will do what's right. Always wear the gear. I'm sure glad you had on all the gear which for anyone on a harley is quite rare. Best of luck in you and I look forward to hearing of you continued Vespa adventures! I've a cousin in Ventura with a 1974 Ducati GT750 sitting in his garage because he is scared to ride it in the traffic you fellows have.
