I have heard of, and almost experienced the 'gearbox snatch' (nearly stalling) sensation while cruising around in low gear (roundabouts especially) and wonder if this is one way to reduce the likelihood of it occurring. From the sales writeup about it, you also gain full throttle faster too, which I feel would make wheelies more interesting. So if anyone has an opinion or experience with these, could you share your knowledge of it before I spend my $78 on the gizzmo, then fit it.

A progressive throttle is about the best mod I ever did! Loook at 'Twistgrip Modification for progessive throttle action, parts 1 and 2' in the files (at the bottom of the list). The commercial versions work very well too!
