Rode my 900SS/FE to Indy from NYC - 700 miles or so. Rode it to Barber Motorsports Park - ~975 miles. Rode home from both with no problem.

Rode my ST2 to Indy - loved it, too.

If you get off and walk around for a few minutes every 1.5-2 hours or 150 miles then you can ride all day.

I did a 10 hour journey on my '92 900SS twice in one week. The second time nearly crippled me, and that included regular stops and a lot of walking around. With about 100 miles to my destination I was ready to quit and catch a bus home.

I did a 6 hour ride on the ST4s the day I bought it, and loved every minute of it - 3 hours in the first sitting, then almost 3 in the second. Haven't gone more than this yet.
