I have had good fortune with Yuasa YB16AL-A2 but it is finally kaput, so I need a new Battery. I see more maintenance free Batteries these days. Glass somethiing or other?? Anyone using one of those? Isn't maintenance free better than maintenance required?
Last year my long distance trip was Rhode Island to South Carolina througn the Delaware Water Gap, down to the Shenandoah Mtns across into the Monongahela's south into the Carolinas and back. 7 days of great mountain corners with good altitude changes. Has anyone gone down South in West Virgina from Huntersville to Watoga State Forrest? Unbelievable fun motorcycle road. Then over to WV RT 92 South. Most amazing experience stopping for gas at a pizza place in the country about 45 minutes north of White Sulpher Springs and finding a 2007 Tri-color 1099 inside the pizza shoppe. Turned out to be the owners, Duc. As you can imagine we had a nice chate and he gave me a free plate of his delicious fries to go along with the coffee I bought.
This year the plan is Rhode Island to San Francisco and back.
My 1999 ST2 has 45k on the clock. It sounds great, runs great and still turns heads, too.
