I found them great in the rain, great in the twisties in the dry or wet. But, I was disappointed with the mileage. I got
roughly 4000 per set for two sets. This time I'm running the Michelin Road 2s. They handle great also. Haven't hit
the rain we had with the Angels. I think I have over 1000 miles on them now. I'll have to check. No wear problems so far.

They are also available in 170/60 (which is OEM for ST2).
I have the 180/70 on my ST4s with 4300 miles on it and it needs replacement. I always ride solo with panniers. Looks like cords would be showing if I went another 300 miles.
All modern ST tires are good, it's mostly a matter of whether a tire suits the bike it is on. My feeling is the Angel ST is over built for the weight and horsepower of our bikes and lacks absorption on rough roads. But many (most, all?) currently available tires are. On smooth roads it is exceptional and the compound works especially well on wet pavement (watch it on rough roads). It feels like a heavy tire to me and I wouldn't run them again unless it was on a heavier, more powerful bike and I wasn't constantly searching out the least traveled back country pavement that is often broken and patched. I want a more supple carcass.
Note to Paul: I'm not speaking of road kill here.
