Two marine tex stories:

My dishwaher pump stopped working. The impeller broke all the way around the hub. I used MT to build up a nice filletted weld. Ten years later I tossed the dishwasher.

My KTM 250 sprung a leak around the water pump. Water ate thru the magnesium pump housing. I fillet the inside surfaces with MT, macined the pump "snail" shape with a dremel, and the bike is still ridden a decade later.

Great stuff!
