Re: [DucatiST] Screen options for 5'7" rider (UK)

Hey Andy, yes my ST4s is an '03. I do think the shield on there is a Double Bubble. By buffeting, I do mean turbulent air flow. I have a full face with the whole face lift and a regular full face where only the face shiled lifts and they both have a lot of noise due to the turbulance.

I should get the laminar Lip on the ST4s while I'm home this time. When I do get it mounted, I'll give a review as to how well it works. It was through some reviews on some of the Duc sites that I decided to approach them and ended up getting one for each Duc.

Cheers...Hopper

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Hopefully the Laminar Lip will get that above or below my face shield. I'm right at 6', equally proportioned legs to torso. We won't mention belly though...grin. I really like the ST4s, especially love the motor but the buffeting was really getting to me. Haven't done any long trips on it due to the buffeting. Hope the "Lip" cures the problem!

Ah, so there *is* a double bubble screen available for the pre-04 fairing then.  I couldn't find one in the UK.  Yours is an '03, right?  I'm thinking a double bubble might work well since I'm 5" shorter.  By buffetting though, do you mean turbulent or steady airflow?

That's interesting, thanks.  I'd also be interested to try the Mk2 seat, if they are interchangeable - am I right in thinking that's a gel unit like the Ducati Performance gel seat?  I found the '01 ST4S seat too hard and my Sargent seat is good but it's designed for a larger butt than mine (I'm a 10-stone marathon runner)!  I've tried to find a DP seat for sale but have failed so far.

That's great; how tall are you Marty?

cheers
