RE: [DucatiST] ST Luggage

I regularly use a waterproof sack across the pillion seat of my ST3s to carry my tent and sleeping bag secured with bungies to the rear footrests and pannier racks with another bungy wrapped around the sack and around the grab handle to prevent the sack rolling forward and the ST panniers. This set up has worked fine for two trips to WDW and for various other UK and European camping trips.

If I am carrying a pillion then I use a Ventura pack in conjunction with the ST panniers.

I have used all three (panniers, Ventura and waterproof sack) for a two week camping tour of Europe but found this setup a bit tail heavy but nothing that stiffening up the rear shock didn’t sort out.

Regards

Clive

Subject: [DucatiST] ST Luggage

I have a Givi Tail Trunk on my ST2 that I love/hate. It was originally
purchased to provide a backrest for my wife but due to some Arthritis
issues she no longer rides. I ride solo 100% of the time.

The tail trunk holds lots of stuff but I don't like riding with it
on. It puts weight to high. I thought I'd like to try a soft bag that
goes on the back of the seat...... and a bigger tank bag ( I have a very
small one that only hold camera, cell phone, etc). Might also take along
a little tent and sleeping bag.

Has anyone used one of the soft seat bag on an ST?
How did you like it?
How does it attach?
Recommended brand?

Thoughts, opinions, Let's hear it?

Cheers
