I kind of agree but if the suspension parts are going to cost 3 grand it’s marginal whether it’s worth fixing. Personally I’d convert to passive suspension in a heartbeat and save the majority of that cost, but each to their own. I have a mate who owned a 500SL and a suspension rebuild on that cost about 3 grand for one corner! He spent 20K GBP+ in 3 years maintaining the car. He has swapped it for an SLK now.

This has to be one of the stupidest bike owners I've heard of. Just dumps his bike because some mechanic says it needs this or that. I want to quote on cutting his grass, I'll own his house in three hours time.
