Re: [DucatiST] quiet clutch mod, why?

It’s not the noise Robert, it’s the thought of the clutch bashing it’s self to bits! I just changed the plates on my ST4s for the first time at 35,000 miles before going on a week trip to Germany and back, taking in a few laps on the Nurburgring. I did the quite clutch mod at 6,000 miles and the basket and drum are still virtually like new. :-) That alone is justification of the QC to me.
Incidentally, the old plates weren’t worn out altogether, I just changed them as a precaution. They’ll be going back in again to get the last few thousand miles out of them :-))

Are you fellows embarrassed by a loud clutch? :}

Took me a while to get use to the wrenches in a coffee can sound but once I did,
I love it. :) I like the expression I get from other bikers when I pull in. They all look at
me funny and move on off.
