No sir, on my machine it is not the same relay. I believe that is why I could never find a replacement. AFAIK there is only one relay under the left fairing; the other is the flasher for the turn signals.
Is anyone positive that the relay that pyro dan sells is for the 98' ST2. I thought I remember reading somewhere that it was a micro relay or something to that effect?
