Errm, the Interphone F5XT IS the latest version of Cellularline's F5 top model and, so far as I know, is directly comparable with/superior to all the other brands. If it did all it says on the box anyway...

Good idea. I am from the Northwest corner and Ive been going hiking up there every spring and fall for 25 plus years. I can point you to curvy roads that are almost deserted during the week days and not much worse on the weekends. You have to be really careful at dusk though. There are deer all over the place and Elk around the Buffalo Wilderness area that like to stand in the road at night.
It is a favorite of Porsche, & Mazda Miata clubs among others.
You do NOT want to be up there during the annual Blues Bikes and Barbeque weekend though. Unless you like to putt putt around going 40 miles and hour in a herd of Harleys dressed up like a pirate. (Not there's anything wrong with that)

Re: [DucatiST] Bike for sale

Be sure and list it on Ducati.ms site, and also Craiglist, but be very careful, it's almost like the wild west there but I have sold several bikes there and bought a couple.

Integrated earbuds would be the obvious solution to that, though there are complications.

However, the main aggravation has been that one of the two original F5s refuses to pair with my TomTom satnavs, even though they are listed in the Interphone literature as compatible. I've had two replacement F5s now, the last as a result of an unexpected dialogue with the Italian makers who agreed that it should work fine, but no joy. All is not lost because the F5 can take an auxiliary input from the satnav via a cable, but the convenience of a cable-free Bluetooth connection is missing for me.

Has anyone here had experience of the F5 used with a satnav?

As Scott mentioned previously you will need (2) each. The stock gearing is very tall, most folks change the gearing to make it more rider friendly around town and in the twisties.

Wow, great catch on the temp sensors, I'll pick up two and add that to the list of things for the shop to do.

I've just posted an album in the pics section. Thanks for the suggestions!

[DucatiST] Re: New 1998 ST2 owner

Under the left-hand fairing, where the coolant pipes go into the horizontal cylinder, that's the sensor for the temperature gauge. The sensor for the ECU is located where the coolant pipes go into the vertical cylinder.

In addition to the ECU, the rear (vertical cylinder) sensor also controls the cooling fan. So if the sensor is failing, it can keep the fan from turning on at the appropriate temperature (or at all).
