[DucatiST] ST4 1999 frame sliders / crash protectors?

 

Hi all,

I am looking around for crash protectors for my 1999 ST4.
The R&G http://www.rg-racing.com/browseBike/Ducati/ST4/2001/CP0156BL.aspx are described to be installed replacing the engine bolt which for my model is covered by the battery on the right-hand. Has anybody faced this problem and how resolved it?
It there anybody using the GSG crash-protectors http://www.gsg-mototechnik.de/00ducati/ducati-st-2-3-4-4s/ducati_st2-3-4-4s.htm (also available at the site of http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/3150/532/) and if so - what are the feed-becks?
