In my reply to Nick, I stated that I basically attempted this project because the end result should be something to the effect of a "free" motorcycle.
To answer your questions, compared to my ST2, the Paso does not handle as well as the ST2 and I doubt the Paso's frame will be able to handle the additional HP - resulting in frame flex. I already have a few ideas for adding some bracing to the frame, if the flex is too bad.
Worse case scenario is that I part everything out if the attempt fails or I am not happy with the end result, and I will view it as an interesting challenge with lessons learned from the experience.
