Aborted day one in Brawley, CA...160 miles from the Editorial Garage. Rain and ground strike lightning. From Brawley to Arizona the two-laner runs through the Algodones Dunes and Glamis....flat, no cover, no hospitality, just sand and skinny twolane asphalt.The only respite from rain is your helmet and jacket.
Tomorrow, push on to Prescott and then onto Clarkdale where we have friends.
Weather Channel promises partly=clear.
SWMBO has no truck with lightning. She's funny about dying. I'm sitting in a Best Western, sucking on a quart of Miller High Life and snacking on Cracker Jack...watching the bike sit in the rain. Blech.
