Yes. I'm quite pleased with that Nick, many people seem to change complete clutches at less than half that mileage!
As well as the tabs bedding down, as the friction material wears and the stack height lessens it will also, presumably, get less effective, yet I didn't have to do anything to it in 29,000 miles.

Cor, that's a good recommendation, Derek. I wish Eddy and I had made the QC mod subscription-only!
By the way, the effectiveness of our cheapo mod will diminish as the plate tabs bed into the basket slots, so it's worth just checking occasionally and considering adding a thicker plate or shim to re-establish that small overhang. The Bart's version that bottomed in the base of the basket is probably immune to this effect, but is not such an easy process without machining capability or buying his kit.
