Re: [DucatiST] St4s race ecu

No. the first ones came out in 2001. I am not sure what it looks like or where it is mounted. I checked with Houston Superbikes and they said it would be suitable for a 2001 model. I believe the Race ECU's are fully mapable, where as the standard ones aren't, so should be better.

Gassy,

I thought that the ST4$ came out in 2002?

What does your ECU look like and where is it mounted?

Subject: [DucatiST] St4s race ecu

Hi. I have a 01 ST4S which I would like to purchase a new ECU for as the old standard one is causing my bike to run on one cylinder only sometimes on start up when cold or on start up when very hot. According to my local Ducati dealer this is a common problem with St4S's of this year.
I see Houston Superbikes are selling race ECU's for these for only US$459. My Ducati dealer says a Race ECU from Ducati in Italy will be about 4 x this price if I purchase it through them.
Has anyone had any experience with Race ECU's from Houston Superbikes and are they reliable? Any problems?
