I like Jack's idea. That way you'll get a paint-job that can survive
on salted winter roads and an engine with torque throughout the range.
Mind you, I could do without the eye watering price of the 1198 engine's
cambelts (GBP 150 versus the already gobsmacking 100 for a pair of
ST4s cambelts. IIRC the belts for my 2 valve monster are not much over
50 for a pair and the ST2 will use the same belts.) Then there's the
surface discharge spark plugs...... Actually I think I'd be happy to
have a new ST with the 1100 Dual Spark engine from the old Multistrada
and current Monster.
All in all the "Kawasaki Green" coloured wheels that set off the Ducati
Red of my Monster is as close to a real Kwakker as I want to get.
In fact just getting my drab grey ST painted in the same colour scheme,
might please me as much as getting a new ST. (Mmmm, cheaper, more money
to spend on riding:)
