After 18 months of not perching my butt on a moto, yesterday that episode in my life ended. I managed to finally swing my surgically altered legs, new knees and mostly rehabbed brain over the ST and ventured out into the world. Burned a bit less than a mile. Small steps are better than no steps

Only rode down to a gas station to top the tank off for winter storage, or until someone buys the 4 S, but it was pretty nifty. Gene Autry wouldn't have been too impressed by my version of "Back in the Saddle Again....", but I sang it anyway. Chubby old lady pumping gas into her mobile at the next island grinned and told me she'd always been a Gene Autry fan. Told her he was my Dad and Annie Oakley was my girlfriend before heading back to the corral (garage.) Allowed me to realize how much I'd missed interacting with The World from the seat of a bike.
