I think we need to clarify that this is not a Ducati "cruiser", it's a Ducati "muscle bike." Big difference between a cruiser like my old HD FXDL, and my old Yamaha V-max muscle bike. Very few people are going to be doing much cruising on this thing. It's intended to intimidate and shred the pavement between stoplights on a Sunday night on you local strip, not to add on some saddle bags and a wind sreen and forward controls and do some lazy back road rose sniffing in pirate outfits, though I'm sure some will bastardise it like that as is the fate of some mistreated V-maxes.

That said, I'm going to pass on this one and hold out hope for a Desmosedici inspired SST. :-)

Ducatista,

At first the 999 didn't work for me, until I rode a 999R, then she started to "grow" on me.

Same for the MS.  Rode one finally and she's starting to grow on me.

I like the Cruiser from the get go though (except for the exhaust), hope to see and sit on one at the San Francisco Int. MC show.

One thing for sure, the Diavela Cruiser is a helluva lot prettier than that 2.3 liter, 3 cylinder Triumph monstrosity, imho.

I imagine you probably said the same thing about the Multi 1200s as well. :-)
