The author of that piece seems to struggle with what it should be called. It's a "muscle bike" dood, just like the V-max you correctly associate it with is. To call it a "crusier" is categorically wrong, as some people even call touring barges crusiers in some circles.

Ummm, how about calling it what it is, like a "muscle bike."?! :-)
