Glad you made it back from the "dark side" to rejoin us living souls.

Yeah man, waking up in a hospital with tubes in you and strangers around is one of life's real freakouts.

I pray every night that my children and descendants never have to go through some of the frightening/painful moments I've been through.

There are too many inattentive, dangerous drivers out there. 10-1 that little dittzo that hit you was on her cell phone, blabbing or texting needlessly. That crap is really getting out of hand.

More and more, I'm leaving the cell phone in the center console of my car, or turn it off when I take the Duck for a ride, which has been a while now.

Some of you may remember that I had an accident last May. I began talking about it, but was advised against it due to issues with the case. So I waited for things to settle before I told the story.

Riding home from work on my Harley, I was crossing through an intersection that was the same as any other in Los Angeles. Two lanes in both directions, with a third lane for vehicles waiting to turn left, steady flow going through. As always I slowed down a bit, scanned the traffic, proceeded through. I was maybe going 25mph.
Dry roads. Daylight. Perfect visibility.

Put 34 miles on her. May not sound much but that was lapping Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey. Baby steps, baby steps.
