Re: [DucatiST] marchesini GAP

OK, measured my ST2 (1998) and SS1000DS (2003) rears today.

Bearing to bearing (outer edges).  ST2 178.5mm, SS 174.0mm, (ST2 is wider by 4.5mm)

Sprocket side flange to brake side flange: ST2 163.5mm, SS 159.0mm, (ST2 is wider by 4.5mm)

Bearing on sprocket side is flush with outer edge of bearing.

Also, both cush drive are identical, 20mm high.

A straight edge along the sprocket side flange of the SS wheel will just clear the rim, but not the tire.

A straight edge along the sprocket side flange of the ST2 rim clears both the rim and the tire.

Both tires are 180/55, and both rims are 5.5" wide.

So it seems that the ST2 rim is wider by 4.5mm on the sprocket side than the SS rim.
