I also opted for the Chris @ Cycleworks option. Kit and directions were great. The 100 mile range was a big draw back. If you have the bike this is well worth the $$ and an easv do it yourself.

It is a roto-molded plastic tank (2.2 gallons!) under the body cover. However, I run the 5 gallon replacement tank in my bike. I did the street testing for the designer, Chris at California Cycleworks. Great piece! -Steve MH900e #120 (Ohlins fork & shock, Helibars, Staintune, ANT camera, CA-Cycleworks BIG gas tank) San Diego, CA I agree that anybody is free to ask whatever he wants for whatever he is selling, and the market will decide if he gets it. Do the MHE's have plastic tanks?

Look at the edit date. It was changed yesterday. A member of the Big Ducati list found the listing for one of the bikes he bought in September, when it sold for $15k. Below is a quote from one member. "I'm with you on the price, Jim. This guy was on the MHe board telling everyone how he was doing us a favor by singlehandedly driving up resale prices. When we informed him that one could buy an MHe with similar mileage for under $20k in the US (a 2.2 mile bike sold for $18k recently) and a rider for $10k to $15k depending on endowments he scoffed."
Again I say, if you don't NEED to sell them, why not donate ALL of the proceeds to charity. And I really like the bike...I have #120. -Steve Red '04 ST4s ABS San Diego, CA I'm in agreement concerning charity money raising, but he's asking for a MILLION dollars, half of which he is willing to donate. He is implying that they are worth a quarter million a piece to him, because that is what HE is keeping.
Now, perhaps I read that incorrectly and he is going to donate his half million as well. In that case then, I stand corrected. I just don't interpret it that way.
