I have that book and looked it up. It is truly horrible. No wonder it never made it to production, nor the “Proboscis” 900SS on the facing page.

It's on page 155 of Mick Walker's "Ducati Twins 1970 onwards". Made the stock 860 GT look stunningly beautiful. Well, not really.
I tried to google a photo but couldn't come up with one.

I seem to vaguely remember a Ducati cruiser with an 860 bevel engine, probably about 1980 or so, it was truly hideous. I don’t know if it ever made it into production though. Anybody else remember it?
