Re: [DucatiST] Chain Length

Chris,

Best thing to do is install your new sprockets, loosen the rear axle and move the wheel forward (for chain wear adjusment), then install the chain over the countershaft sprocket and run it onto the rear sprocket and see where you have to break it apart.  Most new chains come with about 120 links or so.

Carry on.

Subject: [DucatiST] Chain Length

I am changing the chain and sprockets on my 2001 ST4 and am going with a 15 front and 44 rear. Does anyone know how many links I need to add for each rear rear sprocket tooth increase? I have not been able to find any info. Any info or links would be appreciated. Thanks

Chris
