I'm pretty sure you can fit the entire assembly from the later bikes, but I fitted a magnetic reed switch to mine after I'd de-suicided it, using the sensor from a ProOiler rig. Totally dirt-proof and protected in a shell, it works a self-contained flashing LED on the dash. Pics are in 'NickW's ST4' in the photo-files....
