Point taken! However, when the plastic comes off as infrequently as mine has needed in 30K miles, a couple of minutes with the hex keys in the tool kit is really no hardship. Ducatis can be amazingly reliable, he says with fingers crossed. Obviously, it's worth having a maintenance-free battery and corrosion-free electrical connectors...
