I also had been checking my bolt torque on a regular basis, and still ended up with a busted frame; luckely no case damage. Not sure if the bolt backed out or not, but I put the nichols in just in case. I must say though, after being convinced by several people on this list to get it repaired, she is alive and well.. My forks are at Ohlins now waiting for an upgrade, and the plastic is being painted a nice metallic blue color. :) Great bike and and awesome liST. Looking forward to the next 50k miles.
