Then again Ben (good to hear you back on here; has Marit still got hers?), why not sidestep all these problems and get an early ST4? Totally sorted bike straight out of the box if you deal with the engine bolts (which would still be the case for an ST2 of that period), and having none of the gremlins of the early ST4s. They can be had for silly money over here now...
