I'd say sure you can and if it's a round exhaust, pop out as best you can and turn the dented side in if you can.

I've the sil moto carbon ovals and plan to drill them out and repack them with a heat shield internal for the carbon. Maybe next winter that is. :)

I have sil motor titanium exhaust on my 05ST4S. When I bought the bike, the left side exhaust was dented and the previous owner said his wife's foot slipped off the passenger peg and dented the exhaust. Obviously not the case but otherwise the bike was great, so I went ahead with the purchase. Does anyone know if I can drill out the pop rivets and slide the cover off to pop the dent out and then re-rivet the cover? Or am I stuck with an exhaust pipe with a large dent. It works fine, just looks terrible. Replacement exhaust would be hard to find and expensive. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
