I bought a maintenance-free battery and mounting kit from LT Snyders site. I admit that I had to fiddle with the mount to get it to fit, but works just fine.

BTW, I also bought the shortened turn signal mounts. I had broke yet another one. The casings LT sells are shorter and less prone to breakage. I had previously bought used ones off eBay, but these are better and less expensive.
Finally, I bought the brake and clutch master cylinder covers (coffin style for '98)
I'm good to go!
I'm not related to LT, but I've found a lot of good stuff on his site. The service is good, too.
It's worth checking out.
