One more thing to check.

 

I had a similar issue, but different.

 

Sounds like to Fuel Injection computer was out for a bit.

 

I had trouble with mine where the main electrics went out, but then came back.

I traced that to a bad realy.

Yours could also be for a bad relay, but a different one.

One of the relays under the seat id for the Fuel Injection, The other for the radiator fans ( I hear).

If the bike is working, Pull the relays one at a time and see which one makes the bike stop.

After you have found the one that powers the ECU, swap the relays and see if it still works with the other relay in there. If it does go and buy a new relay and replace the bad one.
