Total agreement.
Or, as my dear, late, uncle Boyd Monger, (from Virginia) would say.
"Stick that some-bitches dick in a vise!"
Trick to re-fitting the body parts is to leave all the screws loose as you assemble so you can wiggle the panels to initially start the screws, well, it works for me.
That, and using a small battery drill with an adjustable clutch on lightest setting, and a 1/4' drive battery ratchet for under the nose fairing, and the big ones on the bottom.

Subject: [DucatiST] Fairing Fitting
I suggest that once the International Criminal Court in the Hague have finished with various war crimes that they look into the crimes against humanity committed by the person responsible for the design of the fairing fitment on an ST.
They should be given a minimum of 10 years to be served in continually refitting the fairings over and over again until insanity sets in.
He still seems to be at work at the factory as the 1198's are also a pain. After the ease of an 888 and 916's it is either incompetent design or deliberate to push up services costs.
And yes I am refitting all the bodywork after a change in colour!
