Me thinks a weak battery at the volyage threshold of functioning the electronics and then a flooded engine due to the misfires and the enrichener being engaged...took time to clear the surplus fuel and then with a fresh battery, things cleared out fine.

Pulling plugs on the ST's is a PITA, especially the water cooled engines. That's the nice thing about my 900SS/CR..easy access to the plugs to clear a flooded engine.

I'm no expert on fuel injection but I would have thought that very unlikely. The ecu uses the map that is loaded on manufacture. Depending on the chip it may be that someone has loaded a different map or modified the existing map. The sensors (temperature, barometric, etc) are what feed the variable into the ecu. Good that you are getting to run better whatever.

Don't know if I can get "Sea Foam" in UK but I will get one of the proprietary fuel additives for cleaning injectors and put in the tank.
Not convinced the injectors are dirty as the engine runs really sweetly and goes like the proverbial. But adding it won't do any harm. I will also replace the fuel filter as a precautionary measure.
