Re: [DucatiST] Will not run up. Help needed Please

Well thank you gentlemen for your help and advice.
BUT the mystery has deepened (well for me anyway)

Took the fully charged battery down to the test centre fitted and pressed the starter hoping.
The result well none the fault was as before.
Decided to van the bike back home.

Remove filter checked the butterfly's general look around nothing untoward.
Tried starting the engine same fault as before.
Had some easy start so although I don't really like it thought it might give an indication as to where the fault might lie.
So engine cranking on the button I spray the intakes she tries to fire more spray the engine tries harder just about to stop and suddenly the engine starts to pick up and then run perfectly?????.
Have restarted the bike a dozen times now with no problems idles nicely picks up fine.

I call a motor engineer friend. Ask do you think it's the injectors, should I clean them.
After some discussions he feels leaving the key in and trying to start on low Battery might have upset the electronics.
Getting the engine running has realigned said electronics.

I don't really know but he is a very good and experienced engineer.

What think you?

Once again thanks for the help
Bill.
