Re: [DucatiST] Bridgestone BT-023

I've done the BT023s (also BT010s, BT020s, BT056, BT056SS, besides the tour tires on the Goldwings) and have been real happy with them. Before I got back in the oil patch, I was commuting on my 900SS/CR and needed good mileage for mostly straight up and down riding (Gulf Coast Texas...flat and boring!). The Bridgestones did me well with good equal wear on the whole profile of the tire. Good grip when heeled nover and good mileage when straight up.

I've done other tires in the past but keep coming  back to the Bridgestones. Good price, good wear, good grip and quiet. This covers tires on my olde brit Bikes to my Goldwings to the 900SS/CR.

Right now I have Pirellis on both the '03 ST4s and on the '01 996 Superbike but haven't been able to ride enough to see how well they do. Too much time on the rigs so nowhere as much riding any more. They grip but for wear...don't know.
Soo..essentially you won't go wrong getting the 'stones that are appropriate for the riding you want to do.

Don't want to start a neverending thread so Im NOT asking which is the best tyre!
I need to replace the Michelin Pilot Road 2CTs on the ST4$ and was wondering if anyone has any experience with BT-023s.
I'm after a tire with less grooves to the edge of the tread and a stronger centre braking patch on the front tire. Thinking of a BT-016 on the front and BT-023 on rear.
Any one tried this? Any thoughts?
