probably the factory fuel lines Jack. Mine did that and they were the factory lines.
That factory stuff probably isn't rated for submersion either. ;)

Bought an ST2 a few years ago that was in a motorcycle shop and the owner thought it needed a complete wiring harness. Fuel pump didn't run, but the voltage was there. When I dumped the gas out of the tank there were enough rubber bits in it to make a good number of hoses and it had apparently gotten into the pump and locked it up. DEFINITELY some sort of the wrong fuel line...

Yikes!! That is freakin' amazing. How the hell would a dealer do that? This fuel line isn't an unknown issue at Ducati dealerships.
