Just judging from the wire count, it seems that the 515 gets ground from the frame as opposed to from the wiring harness. The factory regulator appears to have a hardwired ground (in addition to the ground for the alternator light.)
It's a bit tough to tell because the factory regulator wire color doesn't match the factory wiring diagram. But I suppose documentation never sells bikes, huh?
For those of you that have wired the 515, how did you deal with ground? Just use the frame or did you bring the ground from the harness to the regulator body as well?
[I did call Electrosport; the guy who answered the phone swore up and down that the regulator got ground from that 18 gauge wire that goes to the alternator light. Uh, I don't think so!]
