Thank goodness you're O.K., Randy. As one who has kissed the pavement several times, I welcome you to the club (Hall of Shame?). Wearing good gear is our first line of defense and I'm glad for you in that regard. Sadly, it's bye-bye for your bike, but that's the smallest part of the entire equation in my view. I'll take luck over skill any day of the week, and you are an incredibly lucky man. Guard those eight remaining lives zealously. Best to you for a speedy and full recovery.
