I could see if we were talking like a half second or something, but this is running up to 5 seconds, maybe a little more now. Also, once I get power to the electrics, I can turn it off and back on again without the lag. Once it sits and cools for a while, it has the same pause again.

I went for a longer ride yesterday, keeping the revs well above 4000 for most of the ride [lights/traffic make me a sad panda] hoping it might have been an undercharged battery - no luck.

I'm unfortunately at a loss here for where to start. This only started in the last week or so, as far as i can tell, and seems to get longer each time.

I'm guessing its a slow safey or ignition relay relay. Or not.
