A little trick to stop the propagating of a crack is to drill a small hole at the end of the crack. This redirects the stress risers so they are not concentrated. After you drill the hole. do a regular repair as noted by others.

Another little trick I have used in the past is to reinforce a repair in plastics and fiberglass with the fabric strapping that is used on boxes and such. Just incorporate the pieces of the strapping cross wise to the crack and on the back side where it won't be seen. Makes a real strong repair.

I would use Plastex to repair the crack and it should stop the cracking.
Sounds like a crack caused by vibration or stress in that area. Plastex
will weld to two pieces together like they were one piece again.
